Presentations about applications of topology are great. Camen’s image processing method by using topology seems amazing for me. I see a new idea to do the image reduction while keeping the structure information. I would like to know how it is different from other numerical algorithm, and it may also be helpful for my work.

Right. Camen’s talk was interesting. As you pointed put I would also like to compare it with other algorithms.

Even I chose Camen’s presentation. I really liked seeing a very different approach to image analysis/classification. The big question though is how well would it compare with existing algorithms in machine learning.
