The presentations this week were my favorite of all three weeks. Anders definition of a sandwich was clearly a hit, but I think that my favorite was actually Bryan’s. I think that this application of TDA is really interesting and has a lot of potential. I would love to see more about this.

I was also a big fan of Bryan’s talk. I very much liked the idea of breaking down music and seeing if you can find relationships between composers, songs, or even if there is some underlying pattern that humans tend to find appealing. I think this is a cool application to something that can blend the lines between math, philosophy, and aesthetics.

Yeah Bryan’s was tight, but I wasn’t a big fan of the idea of reducing music in its totality to data. Was probably just a joke though and I need to chill out
