Brant actually do the simulation and try to figure out a way to do a better simulation on effects of knots in polymer physics. And he presented us his results using graphs which makes it easier to understand. Also, he pointed out his plan after this project. I do hope he can continue his work and get some more interesting results.

Yeah it was cool to see a project in which ‘tangible’ work was done, no offense to the other projects, of course

I thought his work was pretty cool. I liked how he showed simulations, and tried to explain everything using diagrams, which made it very easy to understand and follow. It would be interesting how things change on implementing the improvements he mentioned in the final slide.

I really liked Brent’s project too. The results of the simulation were interesting. I wish he had had more time to run them to see if he got any significant variation in his results. I’m also curious about whether including different knot invariants as any substantial effect on computation time, as in if you substitute out Jones polynomials for one of the others because it’s more computation friendly.
