I think the most interesting thing I learned this past week was in Gregory’s last bonus slide. I had no idea there was a relationship between spin and entanglement and certain homotopy groups of spheres. Gregory’s talk also happened to be my favourite. His discussion about connections and curvatures sparked an interesting conversation afterwards about the fundamental objects in a physical theory and the interplay between the Hamiltonian, connection and dynamics.

The connection between entanglement and homotopy groups of sphere seems interesting. I couldn’t understand it though. Is it going to distinguish between states through homotopy groups?

Even I picked Greg’s presentation, especially because of that last bonus slide. It was interesting to see that there is a relationship between entanglement and the homotopy groups of sphere.
