First of all I would like to congratulate all the presenters from this week. I learned some things I didn’t already know and got a new perspective on things I did know. It was fascinating to learn more about the theoretical framework of particle physics aside from the usual “we use it because it works” I have gotten in my quantum courses.
That said, my favorite presentation had little to do with Lie groups. I enjoyed Siddhartha’s presentation on network coverage the most. I enjoyed his presentation in particular because he focused on diagrams and examples to really bring the definitions to life. In addition, I enjoyed seeing the application of theory the theory he described a very real way. Even though I do not come from an engineering background I could follow his examples without getting bogged down by the details. I appreciate that so many of you buckled down to tackle the very difficult problem of particle physics, but when it comes to presentations I enjoyed This one the most.

Sid’s presentation was also my favorite. From an engineering background, I also appreciated the diagrams as they helped me better understand the concept and brought the topic into real life, as opposed to explaining it in the realm of the theoretical, which seems to be the preferred way in the mathematicians/physicists world. Overall, I really enjoyed his presentation.

I agree with you that it was really interesting to learn more about particle physics from a topological perspective. Siddhartha’s presentation really had great diagrams which made everything really easy to understand.
