Welcome to our class blog on WordPress Production Sites.

One of the primary goals of this class is to teach you how to communicate  and understand mathematics. The blogging assignment should give you practice writing about mathematics informally, and discussing broader issues inspired by specific problems. It is also part of a pedagogical technique called writing to learn, in which the student uses writing to think through complicated or new ideas.

Except for the first assignment which is intended just to make sure you have everything set up, you can write hello or something about you, your interests or anything else relevant to this class that you would like to share.

There are two components to the blogging assignment, each worth equal weight: posts and comments and I will post more details about that separately.
